We just returned from a fun vacation to Disneyland. The kids did not want to come home.
Kolby and Addie were both very brave. Addie was tall enough to go on all but one ride. This is Addie on the Tower of Terror. Her favorite ride was California Screaming.

Splash Mountain was the first ride that we went on after arriving at Disneyland. It was a good way to get
Kolby and Addie used to the rides.

Landry's favorite ride was Winnie the Pooh. He was quite passionate about it. After about six times on the ride and a nightmare about Pooh Bears landing on my head I refused to take him on it anymore.

Tyler had to work at his corporate office for part of the trip. So the kids and I were on our own for three days.

This is after I finally got Landry calmed down after the worst temper tantrum I have ever seen. It was one of those tantrums where everyone walking by is looking at you, while your child is laying on the pavement screaming, and thinking about how you are a terrible mother. People sitting on the benches around me got up and left. It was on day five of Disneyland. I think the over stimulation and lack of sleep finally got to him.

Minnie's house!

Landry was enamored with the princesses.

Addie enjoyed her princess time as well.
Kolby was able to attend the Jedi Training Academy.

This standard is always a favorite. It was conveniently located next to California Screaming so Landry could ride it (over and over and over) as we took turns going on the roller coaster.

The kids and I spent one day at the beach.
Kolby loved playing in and diving into the waves.

Addie and Landry also enjoyed the water.

Our friends live in Huntington Beach. We were lucky that Kristen and Campbell came and played with us at the beach.

After work, Tyler and
Ammon joined us for dinner and the Huntington Beach street party. We ended the night with a walk on the pier. It was so great to hang out with the
Madsens! They even joined us for a night at Disneyland.
Kolby is very jealous of them because they have season passes to Disneyland. He is ready to move to Southern California so he can get a season pass to Disneyland.

To celebrate Addie's birthday we had breakfast at
Goofy's kitchen. It was a fun party!
We had to get up really early but it was worth it.

The kids had fun visiting with some Disney characters.

There was dancing, playing and a buffet that included pizza and ice cream for breakfast!
Aladdin was very nice. Addie enjoyed her visit with him. She was given buttons that let everyone know it was her birthday. Addie was told, "Happy Birthday Princess" over and over again by the employees at Disneyland. She had a great birthday.
Six years old!
The kids love the Tea Cup ride. Unfortunately, the van broke down - twice. The first time I was driving by myself late at night in Anaheim. I lost all power and had to find a way to navigate to the side of the road. $700 later we thought we were set for a safe ride home. About 100 miles out of Anaheim we again lost all power. The mechanic cut the fuel line while replacing the fuel pump. Tyler pieced the fuel line back together in order to get to the nearest town. $125 later we were on our way! Anyone ever been to
Victorville? The mechanics were really nice but I would not choose to spend much time there.

It was a fun trip and great to spend time together!

I've been waiting to see these pictures. What fun pictures!! The kids looked like they had a wonderful time. You were even 1/2 way smiling after you talked about the temper tantrum Landry threw. What a woman. I sweat and stress and tense up when that happens with my kids and think I'm the only mother in the world who has experienced such a thing.
Kolby is getting so tall!!! You know you could always move to FL and be close to Disney too. :)
Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!!!!! Jedi training ROCKS!!! And having your birthday at Disneyland is THE BEST!! And Huntington Beach is GREAT! Yes, one can only take the Winnie the Pooh ride so many times :D Temper tantrums not so fun but it even happens at D-land. Car problems ~ TERRIBLE!! I just laughed about Victorville been through there, know what you mean.
Tell Kolby that Annual passes to D-land are truly awesome. I miss that.
What a fun trip! Way to keep it together even with the tantrums and van break-downs. It looks like you had tons of fun.
How great!! Looks like you had an awesome time. Addie will surely remember her sixth birthday!
That looks like way lots of fun! And I'm glad you went to the beach too... it makes me want to barf when people go all the way to Cali with NO BEACH TRIP! What a waste! :)
I am so so so so jealous! What a great time. It looks like this is the perfect time of year to go to Disneyland. And hey, I'm just jealous that you only got ONE major meltdown on your vacation. We usually get a few more than that. I wish you would have taken a photo of the tantrum, but it's not very funny at the time, is it? I think it's awesome that people cleared the neighboring benches. Great idea to free up a table somewhere crowded, or just clear a path through the crowd. Screaming kid coming through! :)
But really, how fun for Addie's b-day especially. We were at Legoland for Bennett's 6th b-day in March. He was in heaven.
Looks like you were having great fun! We went to Disney World on the other side of the USA! Fun times, but I am partial to the CA Disneyland having grown up close by. We took Sierra there for her fourth birthday! Huntington Beach and I have stories we could share, some of which involve a two week stay in the hospital. I still love the beach though. I agree with Courtney. The beach is a MUST GO whenever we are anywhere near it! Thanks for sharing your pictures. Big hugs to all!
It was great to hang out with you guys! I can't believe your car troubles...my worst nightmare!!!
I'm so glad you went to Disneyland!!! AND to Goofy's kitchen!! What an awesome place to have a B.D.!
How was the Princess line?? Is it just me or is Sleeping Beauty SQUATTING??!! Ha! Ha! :)
I would have cried if I had car probs by myself in Anaheim! You are a BRAVE woman!
Kristen looks fabulous!!!
The Princess line was ridiculous!!! I did not even know what I was standing in line for. I knew it was princess something and a dang lot of people were waiting for it. So I figured I should wait as well.
