January 5, 2009

We spent part of New Years Eve at the ski resort enjoying the fireworks.
There was also a torch parade down the mountain.
It was cold but fun. We were concerned that Addie might have a little hypothermia. The ride home was long as she screamed while she warmed back up. The tingling was unbearable to her.
Tyler and Kolby spent New Years Day on the slopes. Tyler loves the new skis he got for Christmas. Kolby can't wait for ski lessons to begin in a couple of weeks.
We made a trip to see family after Christmas. Landry loved riding on his Great-Grandparents train. My Grandparents have had this train since I was little. They bring it out at Christmas. It is a holiday treat! For all of you who will be confused - I am not behind Landry in this picture. This is my sister Stacey. People always think that we are twins or that Stacey is me.
Over the river and through the woods....
On the way to Grandmas house!
Christmas was really fun until the afternoon when Tyler got very sick. He was unconscious until the next morning. That was not fun for anyone!
Kolby and Addie got new bikes. Kolby has managed to ride through the slush, ice and snow to get some rides in.
Christmas Eve would not be complete without a Christmas pageant. The kids and their friends were darling!

Cute pictures! What ski resort did you watch the fireworks from? Did you have a good time up in Cache Valley? So jealous!!!

Looks like fun except for poor Addie and Kolby. So in that pic with Landry & your sis ~ what the story with the statue on the speaker? There has to be a story behind that!!

so, the other day i was at my old roommate's house showing her our christmas pictures, and she was freaking out about us. she kept flipping between the pic of you covering your head on the sofa, and then the one of me covering my head, and said the only difference was my nail polish. she even made her husband come look, and he freaked out.

Looks like you guys had a great Christmas. I do think though that it was better Tyler sick than you or the kids :) Kids are never fun when they are sick and the house never survives for long when mom is sick. I do however feel bad that Tyler was sick :)

What a happy Christmas! I'm sorry your kids got frostbite, but it sure looked like fun up until then.

I love the pics! I especially love the look on Landry's face when you caught him eating meat in the car. Busted by the anti-meat mom. :)

I don't know how it is in your family, but it is IMPOSSIBLE for us to go on vacation and not have Jon get sick. (Usually done at his mom's house where she, of course, assumes he is sickly because of the poor care he receives from his wife.)

Looks like fun! Of course minus the frostbite & sickness... that's no fun. Love the train, and I too am curious about the statue... lol :)

We were at Brian head for the fireworks. I did not leave Tyler's parents house when in Cache Valley. We were there a very short time. It was depressing to make the trip and never leave the house. I was remembering the great times we had last Christmas in Cache Valley and really missed you.

My Grandpa is a HUGE Jazz (as in the music) fan. His Jazz collection is enormous. I know one of his favorite songs is "A Wonderful World". Hence, the singing plastic Louis Armstrong. My grandparents have a lot of singing stuff. The singing fish, etc. They make great gifts from your many posterity. They are all in the basement and often my children have them all going at once.

Jen - I am laughing with this vision in my head.

And Stacey manages to be sitting in the background of EVERY SINGLE picture.

And Pop told me this Christmas that he doesn't want all that singing stuff; people just give it to him.
