April 19, 2009

Here are a few things we have been doing the last month or so. The kids went to Baby Animal Days in Logan with their cousin Trayson, Aunt Sara and Grandma Susan. Grandma Susan took a nasty fall, broke her face and refused to be photographed. She persevered through Baby Animal Days despite the broken face and all the concerned onlookers. Baby Animal Days will get to the best of us. Imagine it with severe facial injuries.

Grandma's sacrifice may have been worth it since later that evening Addie was trying to decide it her best day ever was Baby Animal Days or Disneyland. After much deliberation she decided on Disneyland - but it was close. Addie LOVES snakes. Grandma had to leave while Addie and Trayson were holding the snake. She is terrified of snakes and was getting a little queasy.
Aunt Sara has decided to only have one child after spending the day with her niece and nephews at Baby Animal Days and out to eat. I was home cleaning so we can put our house up for sale. We are moving again! Really, it has been two years. Isn't it a given? This is the second longest we have lived anywhere. Lynden has this place beat by about three months. Tyler got a new job in Ogden. I think it will be a good move but I never thought I would be moving back to the Ogden area.Landry decided to run away from home yesterday. It was his way of proving that he was very mad at us. He put on his hat, shoes and backpack and took off. Without looking back. This is about a block from our house. Tyler finally retrieved him after he rounded the corner. He is very independent lately. Landry chooses his own clothes, puts them on by himself and won't accept suggestions or assistance.
He also decided to potty train himself. This has never happened to me before! My kids are usually horrible to potty train and I was dreading it this time around. I haven't even given it a thought with him. Let's thank his best friend Jaci. I think her good example rubbed off on him. He even wore underwear to church today. We bought him new underwear yesterday and after opening the packages he put on eight pair at once. I guess he was excited.
The kids enjoyed an Easter Party at Grandma Lynne's and Grandpa Tom's house.
They were really looking forward to the Easter Egg hunt.
It was a hit.
We also got some nasty sickness.
Yes, that is who you think it is. David Archeleta.

Kolby and I went to his concert with some friends. We are not big fans but went along for the ride. I preferred the opening act over the rest of the concert. Kolby spent most of his time making fun of all of the screaming teenage girls in the audience. There were quite a few elderly ladies in the audience. I guess that should be expected when attending a concert in St. George.
We did have a fun time with our friends. All of us were there to support Sydney - one of the many enthusiastic teenage girl fans. She was beaming the entire evening. It was a fun night that included a meal at In and Out Burger. I have been craving the food ever since.

Um, nice try, pretending you didn't really want to see David Archuleta, when your leather vest is proof that you were really there to ROCK OUT.

The two pictures/stories of Landry in the middle...KILLING ME!

I like the 8 pair of underwear, insurance that the pee won't go through all 8 pair. We've had a long journey in potty training Kaden. Not that he hasn't been willing...
I am happy for you that you get to move closer to home but jealous I am not there too. :)
Good luck on getting the house up and ready, such a chore as you know.
Your Easter looked like it was fun despite the illness.
Your mom and my mom should get together, my mom is accident prone mamma! She fell and knocked her tooth out and scraped her face up jogging not too long ago.

Oh my!! Your poor Mom!! That must have been some "tumble". Hope she's healing up nicely. And you will be close to Jessica!!! They're in Brigham and she goes to Ogden a lot since her Mom lives there. You'll have to get together.

Funny stories about Landry ~ he's growing up too fast!

Landry IS growing up too fast... Liam seems to follow in his footsteps about 6 mos. after Landry does... so maybe there's potty training hope in the near future???!?!?!?! That may be a far cry from reality for me but I'm hoping :D Looks like you guys had a great Easter... and fun at the zoo minus the fall..yowch!

You guys do such fun things :)

I think 8 pairs of undies for Brins would be a GREAT idea!

Yeah, we usually keep pace with you guys on moving... but can we count that he did move JOBS last year? But just stayed in the same town? The odds of that are way slim. He has been offered some pretty crazy-location jobs lately... and they say the economy is slow?

I am completely jealous about the potty-training thing. Ella likes to wear her panties...and also pee in them. I forgot she had them on and took her to the store. She was standing up in the back of the cart and had a stricken look on her face and said that she had made Dora dirty. I, as any good mother would do, shamed her and rubbed her nose in the mess. We haven't attempted panties since.

I love all of the fun pics. Good luck with your move (and selling of the house!)

I am glad you are moving back to Ogden ;). What happened to your mom's face? That is so sad. I hope she's ok. Your kids are getting so big!

You're moving??!! I hope you are excited and that your house sells in a big hurry. Good luck with all of that, and I'm glad you've been having fun times.

YES! I'm soooooooo happy that you are coming home to O-town!!!!!!! I'm probably even more excited than you are! Again, I'm so sorry about your mom. That is terrible. Oh, and thanks for making me think about In-N-Out. I'm drooling. Did you know they're coming to the Wasatch front? So I hear!

PS: JENNI you look gorgeous at the archuleta concert. People will think Kolby is stud with a pretty lady date, not his mom. And Landry is my favorite person ever.
