It finally happened!! Tyler finished his thesis and graduated from Utah State with a Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Science. Now his MBA won't be so lonely.

The title of his thesis sounds very cool. The Effect of Exopolysaccharide-Producing Streptococcus thermophilus MR1C on Functionality in High Moisture Cheddar-Type Cheese

The Procession

The Hooding Ceremony
Yeah!
The Cheering Section

It is great to be done. I agree... Tyler does look good in black. Thanks for writing. It is always wonderful to hear from everyone. It keeps me going!

Congrats Tyler! I never knew cheddar cheese could be so interesting as to inspire an entire thesis...

Ya'll look very happy!!

Cheese is VERY, VERY interesting. Much more interesting than being a pharmacist or an accountant - just ask Tyler. It is too bad the research did not turn out as planned. Your store bought shredded cheese could have melted much more nicely.

i don't believe it. it was all staged. how did you keep tyler away from the internet and tv long enough to write a thesis on a made up subject? congrats on the move. maybe we'll stop by this summer on the way to my little bros wedding.

Horray for Tyler!! Or should we say Horray for Jenny & the kids?!?! Oh the memories of having the hubby/daddy go to school when we have little kids. What a relief for all! If Tyler starts talking Phd just give him the look to not even think about it. Enjoy the school-less time. Congrats!!

Ha, ha. I really hope to see you this summer Ammon and Kristen!

It was agreed that the PHD would not happen years and years and years before the masters degree was finished - maybe even before it began!

That's great Tyler you finally graduated and became a cheesemaker. I know that you try your best to follow the scriptures but let me clarify the sermon on the mount for you. Jesus actually said "Blessed are the peacemakers" not "Blessed are the cheesemakers". Sorry to burst your bubble. And yes I know a lot of people go to school for 7 years, they're called doctors.
