These two pictures really describe how Addie has been feeling the last three days. However, she is awake and holding her head up in these pictures - that is a definite improvement.

Addie got the stomach flu on Saturday night. On Monday the DR decided that she needed an IV to get some fluids since she had not been willing to drink much. The IV needle is under the pink bandage. They left it in for one day so if she needed more IV fluids today they would not have to stick her again - since it took three attempts before they got the needle in. She improved enough today that they did not need to give her anymore IV fluids.

We went to Las Vegas to visit my sister last weekend. This is at the indoor gardens at the Bellagio. The current theme at the gardens is Chinese New Year. This is Kolby and my sister. They are in front of a giant Chinese statue that the kids were very impressed with. It looks like Kolby and Mandy are trying to pull off a Zen pose.

Kolby and Addie think that Aunt Mandy is so lucky to live in Las Vegas so she can see the strip everyday!! She actually very rarely makes it to the strip. We won't tell Kolby and Addie. We enjoyed seeing the dancing waters at the Bellagio.

This is what Landry thought of the dancing water.

One of the reasons my kids love to stay in hotels is because they get to do things they can't do at home(ie jump on the bed). Landry loved laying in bed while watching cartoons and eating a cinnamon roll - this is the life. I am not a fan of staying in hotels with my children. I have felt this deep disdain for such adventures for quite some time. It became full blown after living in a hotel with two children for three weeks. The years and multiple hotel stays have not lessened my disdain but only increased it. I won't bore you with the gorry details.

We spent a lot of time at the park and Chuck E. Cheese. Landry has decided that he loves slides. He can't get enough. We went to St. George last weekend where the kids spent a lot of time at the park with Grandma- this is where his new love was found. It has been really nice the last two weekends to escape our winter weather by heading to a warmer climate.

Awww poor Addie!!! :( That does not sound fun at all. So she's feeling better now?
Look at you & your warm-weekend-adventures! I'd be more jealous, but we just finished up two days of warmth & sunshine-yup, TWO full days!! :o) It made me realize how depressed I really am during these gray winter days...
Those pictures of Addie are tragic. Really. Is she feeling better, now? Poor girl! (And poor you, too. Having to sit through watching your baby get stuck over and over is not fun.)
Las Vegas looks like it was fun! I can't belive Landry's curly hair, what a cutie!
Addie is doing much better. This morning she woke up like a bright ray of sunshine - although it was way too early for my liking. She is eating as I write this which is also a big change.
I definitely sympathize with Addie. IVs are no fun. Give her a hug for me.
I told Addie that her Lynden Grandma gave her hug. She was happy about that. She calls Kay,"that Grandma in Lynden".
Awww, poor little Addie! I just makes me want to hug the litte sweetie. I'm glad she's feeling better and eating again.
What a fun vacation too! Anything for warmer weather!
