Kolby's teacher gave us this at Parent/Teacher Conference today. Apparently, there was an assembly at some point where the kids who received these awards were recognized. Kolby never told us about the assembly or the award. His teacher retained the awards to make sure the parents got them in good shape. He scored in the top ten percent nationally in science.

Sometimes it's the school's neglect. I've noticed once they get into 4th grade + you don't know about the awards until they come home with them. Smart thinking of the teacher to hold on to the award for you. And CONGRATS to Kolby!!! Nice work!

That is so great! Although I am sad for you that you didn't get to go to the assembly and partake of the glory of knowing that your kid was smarter than everyone else's kid in the room.

Don't kids know that moms live for stuff like that?
