Please help me.
This grew in my garden. I don't really know what it is or what to do with it. The only thing I know for sure is that it is huge.
School is in full swing. Kolby and Addie like to ride their bikes to school.
Addie is thrilled to be in dance lessons.
Landry started preschool. He loves going to school.

I can't help you identify it. What does it look like inside? I'd just throw it away, but I'm the type whose really wasteful.

So you have some time to yourself now that all 3 are in school? Woo hoo!
How's the house sale coming?
No idea what your garden growth is, paint it for Halloween???

I'm just jealous you had SOMETHING grow. I got one lone, puny zucchini before I left Logan. Does Landry really need that big of a backpack for preschool? Scoliosis or something...

It looks like a very big (emphasis on very) Buttercup squash. It may even be a cross between a spaghetti squash and a buttercup squash. Did you plant different squash plants next to each other? Squash have a tendency to cross pretty easily. Buttercup squash taste like a sweet potato. I would cook it and give it a try. I will preface that comment by saying that most 'cross-pollinated' squashes don't taste very good and have a flavor similar to a piece of wood.
If all else fails you can let Landry float it down the canal...they make fantastic boats (just make a sail out of a straw and a piece of construction paper)...or you can paint it and bring it out to the No. Logan Pumpkin Walk where all leftover gourds are sent to die.

Sara - I realized the first day of preschool the backpack was way to big for Landry. Problem solved with the purchase of a new toddler backpack. The old backpack was one we just had around the house. The new "baby" backpack is really cute.

Thank you Rose! We were counting on you to come through for us. Tyler told me that you would know what it was. I did plant different types of squash right next to each other. Lesson learned. That thing kind of freaked me out. I think I will save it for Halloween. I also really like the idea of using it as a boat (yes, I am curious how you know they make good boats).
