Last Wednesday we were getting ready to head home after vacationing in California.
We had one last thing to do before we left.
Tyler could not leave without hitting the waves.
Kolby jumped right in.
We met up with the
Madsens who conveniently live about two minutes from the beach.
Campbell and Addie splashed around.
Landry loved the sand.
Addie enjoyed her boogie board ride compliments of Campbell.
We were there at high tide and had some great waves.
Landry discovered seashells.
High tide made the sand perfect for sand castles.
Tyler enjoyed boogie boarding.
Ammon and Tyler heading out to catch some waves.
We tried to soak in a lot of sun to get us through until next summer.
Quite the contrast to this week where we have had to pull out the sweaters.
Yesterday started out as a nice fall day but it did not last.
Landry came home from school excited to see the snow falling.
He could not wait to play in it.
This morning he was very anxious to put on his snow boots and coat. Landry told me it looks like Christmas outside.
This is what today brought. Quite the contrast from last Wednesday.

SO JEALOUS of your SNOW!!! I am praying we get to see some at Christmas when we go to oregon. It got really cold a couple weeks ago and Kai said, "it smells like snow out here". I thought that was pretty funny!
We had the warm weather trip only to return to cold this week too... it stinks! Looks like you guys had a great trip too... glad you didn't skip the beach!
Looks like a fun trip. The beach is already sounding nice to me. I don't like the winter. Addie looks so much like you. You guys are beautiful. Maybe we'll see you around the holidays. : )
I got my cupcake holder at Costco, and it was only twenty bucks! It's just plain silver so I've been pretty happy with its versatility. You should definitely get one.
