Our main method of transportation during my trip was the metro. We ended up spending hours and hours on the metro because we saw so many things. By the end of my trip both Sara and I were very done with this method of transportation.The National Cathedral is beautiful. Unfortunately, we got there too late to see the inside. I still enjoyed studying the outside.
There are hundreds of these peculiar little gargoyles all over the building.
We had a hard time finding the metro stop for this landmark and walked all over some beautiful (and not so beautiful) Washington DC neighborhoods.
Many former US Presidents have had there funerals here.
